With over 15 years of experience in the animal care industry, owner Zoe Kimball brings a deep-rooted passion for pets of all kinds. From working in dog daycares and animal shelters to veterinary offices, she’s seen every side of the industry and understands what pets—and their people—truly need.

A Portland local, Zoe has worked in the South Waterfront for years previously and feels a strong connection to the community and its close-knit, vibrant atmosphere. She has seen firsthand how meaningful thoughtful, pet-friendly spaces can be—not just for animals, but for the people who care for them. This sense of community and giving back is central to her vision for Fern & Fur.

Zoe has shared her life with pets for as long as she can remember, currently caring for four beloved companions: two dogs, Marley and Charlie, and two cats, Evee and Alfred. Her lifelong experience with animals, including working with shelter pets, has shown her how proper care and attention can transform their behavior, health, and happiness. These experiences inspired her commitment to helping pet parents provide the best possible lives for their furry family members.
