Known for their thick, waxy leaves and trailing vines, Hoyas are one of our favorite pet-safe houseplants. They're easy to care for, come in dozens of unique varieties, and can reward you with beautiful fragrant blooms when mature.
Calatheas
Famous for their stunning patterned foliage, Calatheas add vibrant color and texture to any room. They're often called "prayer plants" because many varieties raise and lower their leaves throughout the day.
Prayer Plants (Marantas)

Looking for something a little different? We regularly carry pet-safe cacti, including varieties without sharp spines. As with any cactus, placement is still important to avoid pokes from any spines or glochids.
Palms
Palms bring a tropical feel indoors and are an excellent option for pet-friendly homes. We often stock varieties such as Parlor Palms and Ponytail Palms, which offer lush greenery and are well-suited for a variety of indoor spaces.

Pet Safety First
While every plant we sell is considered non-toxic, "pet-safe" doesn't necessarily mean pets should eat them.
Chewing on any plant can still cause mild stomach upset or vomiting, and excessive chewing can damage the plant itself. We always recommend keeping plants out of reach of especially curious pets whenever possible.
If you ever suspect your pet has eaten a plant and isn't feeling well, contact your veterinarian immediately.
